week thirteen part two

mr. kuhn pointed out the bones that we needed to know for our bone quiz... we also finally got to name our skeleton standing in the room. we took a class vote and decided that the skeleton's name is now Prince Humperdink "Boner"......i think we have a very interesting class this year....lol....

week thirteen part one

so now we finally started on the bone chapter... mr. kuhn presented a power point to us and told us about the bones we needed to know and the functions.... after this we just chilled and worked on our websites and homework....pretty nice class so far

week Twelve part three

we got our tests back i think....i actually did pretty goood on it...better than i thought i would do lol. anyway we (kyulee and i) finally presented our skin disease to the class....i think ours should get second place for grossness and riley's project first place.... they're both really gross and prettty graphic... i think we also did some test corrections for these too because not too many people did so well on it....which was nice of mr. kuhn:)

week twelve part two

this class we had to take our tests.....i think i did okayy but i'm not sure yet i'll just have to wait and see......i think our next chapter will be about the bone systemm yayy~~~ and we forgot to do our presentation this period so we'll do it next period. lol

week twelve part one

this class they presented their projects.....sooo grosss......especially riley's. i have a pretty strong stomach but these pictures were too graphic and the size of a walll....nasstyyyyyyyy. the other presentations weren't too bad so i was okayy. but after this we had a review for our test next classs...ahhhh

week eleven part two

we've just been working on the powerpoint forthe whole class period. i forgot to say that it was for extra credit so we didn't have to do these.... next class period we have to present these but kyulee and i will do it next next class because she's going to be taking toefl...

week eleven part one

i think after we talked about that we talked about skin diseases....then we had to do a presentation on them....kyulee and i decided to do them on ulcers which are just basically crater like sores on the body....they are pretty grosss

Week Ten Part Two

we got our quizzes back and went over them......i think i didn't do tooo badd... at least not an F sooo i'm okay.....afterwards we started chapter six, which is the integumentary system. its mostly about the skin and what not...not tooo baddd

Week Ten Part One

this week we had our super long quiz on chapter four and chapter five. it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be...one thing for sure is that i wouldn't have been able to have done it if i didn't have my notes with me....but over all not bad:)

Week Nine Part One

todayy we are just having a quiz review on chapter four and chapter five.....chapter four is a basic overview of the systems and chapter five is about mechanisms of diseases. we have an open note quiz on them tomorrow......hopefully it won't be too badddd.....:(

Week Eight Part Two

WE ALSO watched an interesting video about parasitessss and wormsss. there was a crazy guy who swallowed a cyst and grew a flatworm in his body INTENTIONALLYYY....ewwwwwww. they also talked about some other things like a maggot that was in a woman's headd. they also showed how they got rid of it tooo...they also talked about some fish in the amazon river that is attracted to urine and enters the body. we also had to do a physiology report about a parasite...we talked about a mite that lives in your eyelashes.

Week Eight Part One

This couple days have been pretty easy......first, we had a power point on chaptet five. chapter five is about the mechanisms of diseases. all of the chapter is all about disease and how you get it, what its caused by, and the signs and symptoms. it also talked about endemic, epidemic, and pandemics too. yeaaaaa not too muchhhh:)

Week seven Part two

today is just another working day....we could either read chapter five or work on our websites and blogs, pretty relaxing because we get to work in our own pace and learn new weird things.   mr. khun also tells us how to do things like make a loud popping sound with our fingers and cheek.  he also tells us how to fool someone into thinking they hit our nose when they open the door. yup we learn a lot in F block.

Week Seven Part one

it seems most days we just have our website work days.  i really like those days, because you can catch up on things like this blog and the website.  but i also like class discussions about ADRENALINE and the examples. i also began looking at some things for the website, when i stumbled on an article about skin grafting.....its really interesting about how the skin can be cut into a mesh like pattern to fit over a big wound and it can repair and fill in the holes.....very interesting and gruesome at the same time.

Week Six Part Two

we finished it and we had a powerpoint about what we did. it was pretty abundant in information.  we also had to contribute to some of the systems because some were just blanks....the interesting facts were very........INTERESTING.  i had no clue that the surface area of the bubble things on our kidneys i think could fill up a whole tennis court.......pretty weird.

Week SIx Part one

hmmm today in anatomy wasn't too bad..... all we had to do was pretty much a group project which was pretty fun. My partners were riley and kyulee, which is nice because they actually help and do their part in group projects.  not very boring people, either....lol the project was basically about summing up chapter four which are just introductions to the human systems.

Fifth week Part One

didn't do too much todayy except look at our tests to see how we did....i did OK....76 isn't too bad so i'm satisfied...since it was community service day on wednesday we didn't have any classes=) it was a nice mid week breakk

Fifth Week Part One

i just took my test...it was okayyyy.....i also read my hw about the introduction of the major systems in the human body....wasn't too bad just mostly review. should be a fun chapter=)

Fourth Week Part Two

we had a review about chapter three which is about different types of cells and tissues. pretty easy, since like half of it was just review since i took biology last year. that's okay thoughh i learned more about them here though. gave us review hw which wasn't too bad....now i just have to studyyy ahhhhh

Fourth Week Part One

i forgot last week we were assigned group projects about tissue. i was in riley and kyulee's group.......one thing to say about them is that they are definitely not boring.. lol. we decided to do the connective tissue.... we had to a powerpoint and make a poster to go along with it. a few days after that we did a presentation on it.........ahhhh i'm not sure if we did goood but we definitely did not get an A...ohwell as long as its not an F.

Third Week Part Two

we had a test....i think i did good even though now i know i did lol. but the test was okay. wasn't too hard if you studied and paid attention. mr. khun also did some paper trickkkk that was pretty freaky until you figured out how he did it....kinda like what he did last year with the potato candle i think lol.

Third Week Part One

we had a power point this week too....pretty interestingg. a lot of information about the human bodyy......pretty cool. lol. i guess this is when i'm supposed to be studying for the test this week..... ahhhhhhh

Second Week Part Two

i guess this was around the time that we made those life size posters and labeled them. we had to label the directions, some of the names of some parts of the body, and some other stuff. that was pretty cool because it wasn't very hard work, but we actually learned some stuff tooo. better than mr. cooks class at least.

soooo the secondd weeek we started to talk about the structure, function and the diseasesss.
it won't be too hard, we just have to have a pretty good memorization skill. i think i do the class, but we'll seeeee.
